Poem – Doctors note

Doctors note

I begged and I pleaded
I asked for help that I needed
But you waved me away
Its my IBS you would say

Who would hear my plight
As you wanted me out of sight
And tears I did shed
As I lay crippled in bed

With 20 toilet trips a day
And weight loss on display
How sick did I have to be
Before you would see

It took a camera up my backside
Nurses staring at my inside
That it wasn’t all in my head
It was crohn’s disease they said
